Argentina is unbeaten in 36 games, one game away from equaling the record

Argentina defeated UAE 5-0 in a friendly match on Wednesday night ahead of Qatar World Cup. With an easy victory in the match in Abu Dhabi, Argentina extended its unbeaten run in international football to 36 matches.

Now, Argentina is one game away from equaling Italy’s record of being undefeated for 37 consecutive games. Argentina has not lost since losing to Brazil in the 2019 Copa America semi-finals.

Angel Di Maria and captain Lionel Messi gave a great performance to beat Argentina in a practice match before the World Cup starting on Sunday in Qatar. Di Maria scored two goals, while Julian Alvarez and Jaquin Correa scored one goal along with Messi. Argentina scored four goals in the first half and added one goal in the second half. Argentina, who are in Group C of the Qatar World Cup, will play their first match against Saudi Arabia on November 22. Mexico and Poland are also in this group.

In other friendly matches, Germany defeated Oman 1-0, Poland defeated Chile 1-0 and Croatia defeated Saudi Arabia 1-0. Mexico, which is preparing to play in the World Cup, lost 2-1 to Sweden, which did not qualify for the World Cup.
